Something New

Hey!!! We are Abounded In Grace, if you are new here, and we have been praying about this idea of a blog for quite some time now!! God has put so many things on our hearts that we will get to share as we start this journey and we are so glad you are here to join us!! Keep in mind, we are still high school students and we are as busy as ever, but we wouldn't want it any other way! We will do our best to stay consistent on here, but hey you know how life can be sometimes! So to start this experience off, we wanted you all to get to know the faces behind this business! We just have some random things about ourselves now, but we can't wait to get even closer through this blog, by being vulnerable and allowing God to use us to speak to others! With that said, here are some facts about us!!

Well hey!! My name is Vail Freed and I am one of the few owners of Abounded In Grace!! I do all the lettering you see on the Bibles! I have enjoyed growing in this business and I have loved seeing what God does with it!!

1. I will be attending the University of Oklahoma this fall, Boom Soon!!! I am beyond excited to get to Norman and live with my sweet roomies;) But, still pretty anxious about a new chapter!

2. I have been playing soccer for about 12 years and I have gained so much through the sport! I have met so many amazing girls, coaches, and learned things that go way beyond the field

3. I go to The Park Church of Christ, and grew up going here all my life! I met one of my very best friends here, @kelcymayes, and am so thankful God placed my entire family here to worship Him together every week! I also gave my life to Christ in baptism here when I was in sixth grade!

4. I have a younger brother, who is a freshman, named Vann. As obnoxious and goofy as he is, I’m sure gonna miss living down the hall from him:(

5. I have been dating a pretty sweet guy, Braden Phipps, for about 2 years:) I am constantly learning from him and also constantly laughing when I am with him. He is all things fun, but on the other hand, I also admire his wisdom and confidence. He will most likely be continuing his football career in college and we are excited to see what God has in store in this next season of life!

6. I absolutely love to travel! I have been going to trips out of the country since I was in 5th grade and I have been to about 7 different countries! My parents have blessed my family so much by all the adventures we have been on and they are my favorite travel buddies!

7. I have a love for mission trips and God has blessed me with the opportunities to travel to Guatemala, New Orleans, and Houston! New Orleans and Houston have been in my life for about 5 years and I always enjoy going back to both, working at the churches and showing God’s love to the people there!

Hi friends!

My name is Bailey Nowlin, and I am the “painter” behind Abounded in Grace. To be honest, it’s kinda weird calling myself a “painter”, because a few short months ago, I didn’t know a single thing about painting or even where to begin. Actually, just a few short months ago, Abounded in Grace was just a far-fetched dream of mine that I never thought would actually come to life. Through many nights of prayer & some super sweet, “just-say-yes” friends of mine, Abounded in Grace became a reality. After almost three months of this special company, we decided it might be nice to learn about who is actually behind this business!! So here are some short “Get to Know Me” facts….

1.I will be attending Baylor University this upcoming fall & will hopefully be pursuing a degree somewhere in the medical field… (still deciding)!! Sic Em’ Bears!!

2. I have the world’s most precious goldendoodle named BlueBelle (yes, named after the ice cream company).

3. Growing up, I have moved a few different times. From Texas to Georgia to Oklahoma… However, I’ll be headed back to Texas in just a few short months!

4. I LOVE doing mission work, especially in my very favorite place: Cumbaya, Ecuador. For the past eight years, I have traveled to Cumbaya where I have built relationships with some of the most incredible families and children. Last summer, I painted my very first bible and was able to give it away at a women’s event here to a very special lady.

5. The beach is my happy place. I love all things sand, family, and Seaside.

6. Ice Cream is my absolute favorite thing in the entire world!! Chocolate peanut butter, coffee, birthday cake… there isn’t a single flavor I don’t like!!

7.I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old. When I moved to Tulsa, it was through soccer that I met Vail and Hayley my sixth grade year. We’ve since been on the same team, Club and High School, and will all be finishing our soccer careers together this Spring.

8. I have an older brother named Brock that is truly one of my very best friends. Having an older brother growing up has taught me MANY things, but the two most important would definitely be learning to compete with the best and that it’s okay to depend on someone else.

9. Growing up, going to church as a family has always been a priority. However, I accepted Christ into my life when I was seven years old and was baptized at Kanakuk Kamp later that same year.

10. I LOVE being busy. I am definitely one of those people that is going to “say yes” to almost everything and love doing it. (However, that can sometimes be a downfall of mine, as well…)

Hi everyone!! I’m Hayley Ledford. I'm the "business manager" of Abounded in Grace and I run our finances and social media. It has been so amazing getting to minister to others through this business and grow not only in my faith, but also in wisdom. I absolutely love seeing how God is able to work through us. I live off a country road in the Tulsa area and have been a Jenks Trojan all of my life. I have two wonderful parents, three crazy siblings, two dogs, two cats, and over 27 chickens. Yes, chickens. I am currently a Senior at Jenks High School and I graduate in May of this year. When they tell you high school flies by… it’s so true. Embrace it and enjoy every second. I plan on attending Oklahoma State in the fall and hopefully pursuing a degree in chemical or mechanical engineering. I would love to engineer prosthetics or work with something biomedical someday. I’m a huge believer in Jesus Christ and strive to live like Jesus did! I spend my days playing soccer, eating yummy food, spending time with my momma, and hanging out with friends.

Here’s a few random facts about me:

1. One lifelong dream of mine is to learn to surf. Like seriously. I have always wanted to fly out to Malibu to learn how.

2. Chick-fil-a and Chuy's are my weakness! I absolutely love them.

3. I could live on the beach. Warm weather and waves over the mountains any day.
