Hey there sweet friends!! To start off this is Hayley writing! I am so excited to share with you guys today. Since the night we stepped out and launched this business, Abounded in Grace has taught me so much about character, business skills, and most importantly, Jesus. It has been a blessing to be apart of something greater than myself to spread God’s hope and love to those who need it most. This business holds such a special place in my heart and I have truly grown from the experience.
Today I will be writing about trusting God’s precious timing. This is something that I have to remind myself of daily and can become challenging for me. In life and especially with a business, instant gratification is something we selfishly strive for. We want things and we want them now. We naturally tend to rush the process and try and put God on our timeline. However, that is not how it works. God’s timing doesn’t sync with our clocks. His timing is perfect.

Many times I find myself trying to control the situation and do it on my own. I create high expectations for myself to meet and when they aren’t met on “my time” I begin to feel defeated and frustrated. When things don’t seem to go the way I anticipated, I often try to fix it. Although, God wants more than our hard work and talents. He wants us to be obedient and trust His timing wholeheartedly. This is something I have learned over the past year. He doesn't want the "all put together and perfect" version of us, but the real and genuine versions that love deeply and admit that we need Him. We can't do this on our own, because our lives are not our own.
Habakkuk 2:3 states, “For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger,
wait for it; it will certainly come and will not
delay.” God’s delays are not His denials. Just because something happens, or doesn't happen, right away doesn't mean God is not currently working in it and through it for a greater purpose.
I once heard an acronym for TRUST that stuck with me. It is Total Reliance Upon Spiritual Timing. WOW is that not SO true. In order to trust in the Lord we have to fully surrender to Him. This means relying on His ways, not our own. And man that can be very hard to do. In our busy lives it can be difficult to slow down and let God work in His timing, but I am constantly reminded how His way is greater than my own. I pray for those of you reading this you surrender your ways to Him and allow Him to work through your life in His precious timing.

And Jesus replied, "You don't understand now what I am doing, but someday you will" John 13:7.
With love,
Hayley
